OCPS offering boating course
The Ocean City Power Squadron is offering an all new America’s Boating Course at the Ocean Pines library, 11107 Cathell Road, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15. Registration is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the first class at 7 p.m.
This is an eight-hour course, 7-9 p.m. each evening. Full Story
DNR releases online boating access guide
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources last week launched its updated Online Boating Access Guide. The Web-based guide provides the location of public boating access sites across the state, as well as site-specific details on amenities, parking, directions, and fees.

Lions planning annual golf tourney
On Oct. 6, the Ocean City Lions Charities, Inc. will hold its fifth annual golf tournament at the Ocean City Golf and Yacht Club to raise money for wounded troops. Net proceeds will go directly to the cause.
Cost is $75 per player. The tournament is limited to 36 foursomes. Sponsorship is available on a tee box sign for $75 or three for $200, which is tax deductible. Full Story

Lady Seahawks soar in season opener on road against Kent Co.
(Sept. 10, 2010) The Stephen Decatur volleyball team opened the 2010 season with a 25-13, 25-17 and 25-13 victory over the Kent County Trojans on the road Tuesday.

Prep finishes third in Bayside matches

Seahawks win big in season opener
