BIKE WEEK BEGINS THURSDAY
Tenth annual four-day event expands in 2010 to five locations
(Sept. 10, 2010) Beginning next week, thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts will travel to the Ocean City and Salisbury areas for Delmarva Bike Week, a four-day celebration of motorcycles and everything related.
The 10th annual edition, scheduled for Sept. 16-19, will include contests, rides, live musical entertainment and vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise. Full Story
WCDC appoints first client rep to board
Mary Baker, a long-term client of the Worcester County Developmental Center, recently attended her first WCDC board meeting as a board member and representative of all WCDC clients in board matters.
Executive Director June Walker said Baker was a natural choice as the first client board member in the long history of WCDC. Full Story
Volunteers sought for Coastal Clean Up
The town of Ocean City is seeking citizens to volunteer for a beach and bayside clean up on Sept. 18. This will coincide with International Coastal Clean Up Day.
There will be some kayak groups surveying the wetland and canals, collecting trash and debris, along with the dune and beach cleanup. Full Story

County offering sports and fitness programs this fall
