Miranda Florio Drug arrests

Ocean City Police Department narcotics detectives concluded two investigations last week with the arrests of two Ocean City residents for drug distribution.

On Jan. 27, police arrested 22- year-old Miranda Leigh Florio. Police said Florio was under investigation for illegally selling prescription drugs for two months.

She was charged with three counts of distribution of prescription medication and four counts of drug possession after police found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia at her home. She was held at the Wor-cester County Jail on a $50,000 bond. On Jan. 28, police concluded a six-month investigation with the arrest of 20-year-old Chase Allen Martin. Police found suspected marijuana, morphine, heroin and prescription drugs. in his home. He was charged with four counts of possession of prescription medication, three counts of possession of marijuana, two counts of marijuana distribution and theft under $100. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
