Eloise Wimbrow Mason Ennis

Eloise Ennis Eloise Ennis SALISBURY — Eloise Wimbrow Mason Ennis, 80, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Greenbackville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Ennis Wimbrow. She is survived by her husband, Howard Douglas Ennis of Salisbury.

Mrs. Ennis was a graduate of Snow Hill High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper with Salisbury Auto Trim and the Lower Shore Shelter Workshop. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Salisbury. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary Beth Scarborough and her husband, Bill, of Snow Hill, Julie Johnson and her husband, Eric, of Salisbury, Jo Ellen Mason-Foley and her husband, Jim, of Salisbury, Melody Gillespie of Salisbury, Tina Beach and her husband, Albert, of Mardela Springs, Douglas Ennis and his wife, Deanna, of Summerville, S.C., Walt Ennis of Salisbury and daughter-in-law, Margaret Ennis of Baltimore. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Samuel Mason in 1999, and her sons, Samuel Lee Mason in 1998 and Barry Ennis in 2009.

Also surviving are her brothers, Buzz Wimbrow and his wife, Virginia, of Tennessee, Douglas Wimbrow and his wife, Naomi, of Chincoteague, Va., Charles Wimbrow and his wife, Daisey, of Chincoteage, Elwood Wimbrow and his wife, Nancy, of Stockton, Eddie Frank Wimbrow of Wattsville, Va., Norman Wimbrow and his wife, Sara Lou, of Kentucky; and sisters, Margaret Hinman and her husband, Warren, of Bloxom, Va., Jackie Wilson and her husband, Jim, of North Carolina and Pat Lambertson and her husband, Jerry, of Snow Hill; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Wimbrow and his wife, Alice.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Burbage Funeral Home in Snow Hill. The Rev. Andy Frick officiated. Interment was in Bates Cemetery in Snow Hill.
