Pocomoke man issued hunting violation

The Maryland Natural Resources Police charged a Pocomoke man with hunting violations Nov. 18.

Ricky Tull Holland, 49, was charged with casting rays of artificial light while in possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.

The incident occurred at 9 p.m. on Dunn Swamp Road. Police reportedly seized a .243 caliber rifle from Holland.

Cambridge man sells meat from back of van

A 30-year-old Cambridge man was arrested Nov. 23 for allegedly selling meat from the back of a van, according to the Berlin Police Department.

Dwayne Terrel Lake was charged with making an illegal sale. He was also wanted on an arrest warrant from Dorchester County on charges of assault and destruction of property.

Police allegedly found Lake and another man selling meat products out of a van displaying the name "Capital Meats" on Ann Drive. The meat did not have Health Department authorization, according to police.

Lake was held on a $25,000 bond. The van and meat were taken to the Worcester County Health Department.
