Santa, specials on tap in WOC

(Nov. 20, 2009) "The Spirit of Christmas is alive and well at White Marlin Mall for the 2009 holiday season," said Matt Mittenthal, property manager at Greenberg Gibbons Commercial, the mall's leasing and property management firm. "Santa Claus will return again this year to greet all the children and their parents who visit [the mall] during the holiday season."

Santa Claus will visit White Marlin Mall on Friday, Nov. 27, from 2-6 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. He will also greet White Marlin shoppers from 2-6 p.m. on other specified Saturdays in December until Christmas.

After the children visit with St. Nick, parents can get an early start on their holiday shopping.

"Some White Marlin Mall stores will open at 6 a.m. on Friday morning after Thanksgiving to help holiday shoppers get off to a fast start," Mittenthal said. Stores that will open early include Radio Shack, Michaels, Bath & Body Works, Bed Bath & Beyond, GameStop and Staples, among others. Another group of stores that includes Marshalls will open at 8 a.m.

Built in 1987, White Marlin Mall is located next to the 180,000 square-foot Ocean City Factory Outlets on Route 50 in West Ocean City.
