Ocean City buses will follow winter schedule starting Nov. 2
(Oct. 23, 2009) Town of Ocean City buses will begin operating on winter schedule Monday, Nov. 2. Bus service will run approximately every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. Winter bus schedule runs until April 1, 2010. Passengers can ride the bus for $2. The $2 ride-all-day pass allows passengers to ride the bus from 6 a.m. the day the ticket is purchased until 6 a.m. Full Story
Berlin residents may place large items out for pickup Nov. 4, 18
(Oct. 23, 2009)The annual fall bulk cleanup campaign in Berlin will begin with "large item garbage collection" on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 18. Worcester County Commissioners Vice President Bud Church thanks local philanthropist Eunice Sorin for her $500,000 donation to the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce during an Oct. 14 ceremony. Ocean Pines Police Chief David C. Massey looks under the hood of one of the departent's vehicles during a recent staff inspection. A staff inspection is an audit of personnel and equipment — officers are thoroughly inspected for appearance and equipment; vehicles are inspected for required equipment; and police headquarters, including the property and evidence room, is audited. Dates announced for fall flushing of water mains in OC
(Oct. 23, 2009) The town of Ocean City Water Department will conduct its fall flushing of water mains Sunday through Thursday, Oct. 25-29, between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. Should any discoloration of water occur during this period, residents are reminded to let the faucet run for several minutes until the water clears. Section of Rt.113 project completed, now open to drivers
(Oct. 23, 2009) Motorists this week were expected to be driving on the new portion of the four-lane highway from Hayes Landing Road on the outskirts of Berlin to Goody Hill Road. Work on the 2.5-mile stretch of Route 113 started in August 2008. This portion of the project cost $22. Full Story

PinesYacht Club closing for repairs, renovations
(Oct. 23, 2009) The Ocean Pines Yacht Club will be closed from September 2010 until May 2011 for needed renovations and repairs. Site plan approval extended for former concrete plant site

Web cam shows Rt.90 bridge work
(Oct. 23, 2009) Work is under way on the Maryland Route 90 bridge to replace an 85-foot section of the span that crosses the Assawoman Bay, and the public can now watch the progress of the project via a Web cam.
