T he Boardwalk will be illuminated by red, white and gold balloons this Saturday during the ninth annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk, a fundraiser to help find a cure for blood-related cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Full Story

Holiday collection for troops begins in Nov. Beginning next month, collection boxes will be placed at various locations throughout the county for holiday donations for United States soldiers serving overseas. Purple Heart recipients sought
(Oct. 23, 2009) A Veterans Day ceremony will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Worcester County Veterans Memorial, off Route 589 in Ocean Pines. The sixth annual tribute will begin at 11 a.m. This year's program will honor the area's "Wounded Warriors." Organizers are looking for those who have been awarded a Purple Heart. Full Story
