UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
Chelsea Trimper, a 2005 graduate of Worcester Preparatory School, is joined by a Hawaiian monk seal during an hourlong dive in Maui, where she spent winter break working as a scuba instructor. Hawaiian monk seals are among the most endangered species of all seals — it is estimated that only 1,200 remain. Before her time in Maui, Trimper was in Key Largo, Fla., where she trained as a handicapped scuba instructor. While in the Keys, she took additional courses required to become a scientific diver through Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, S.C. |
