Proposed ban on salvia should depend on state
No one can say the Ocean City Police Department is not vigilant, but the Ocean City Council would do well not to act too quickly on its scary presentation on the hallucinogenic plant salvia divinorum and its subsequent demand to ban it.

We need help, but only if it's at reasonable distance
If we only had another country that would agree to help us find less expensive ways to satisfy our energy needs and to reduce global warming, we would be in good shape.

Early teamwork puts fire services merger on track
With all the uproar and, on occasion, vindictiveness over the future of the fire and rescue services in Ocean City, the current level of pleasant efficiency and cooperation among all parties is more than noteworthy. It is commendable.

Rebuilding commercial base is all about money
Under the current circumstances, discussing future building in Ocean City might seem a little like developing a snow emergency plan for Key West. The prospect of any major new construction occurring in this market any time soon would seem dim at best.
