Relay for Life


As the Northern Wor-cester County Relay for Life event continues to grow in participation and money raised for the American Cancer Society, organizers of the 11th annual all-night party have set the fund-raising goal at $200,000 this year.
Chefs to compete for top crab soup


The Downtown Association’s White Marlin Festival and Crab Soup Cook-off has grown in popularity since its inception three years ago and organizers anticipate another big turnout for the fourth annual event on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Somerset Street Plaza in downtown Ocean City.
Former doo wop sensation


The Oldies Doo Wop Concert and Sock Hop at Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall in January was so successful, that fans clamored for a larger venue with a dance floor.

Liza Davis lights a tiki torch during the Luminaria Ceremony of Hope at Northern Worcester County’s 10th annual Relay for Life event, which took place last year at Frontier Town Campground. The event raised more than $175,000 for the American Cancer Society, breaking the 2006 record by about $20,000.
