The summer season officially began in Ocean City on Thursday, when the 18th annual Springfest kicked off at the inlet. Performing at the ceremony was the Ocean City Elementary School’s OC Stars musical group, which received applause from Worcester County Commissioners Linda Busick, left, and Judy Boggs, Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association Executive Director Susan Jones and Assistant Tourism Director Debbie Travers. Springfest runs Thursday through Sunday at the inlet parking lot, with arts and crafts and food for sale and live entertainment.
