Hotel packages help attract business to Ocean City despite tough economy


(Dec. 12, 2008) Hoping to continue cashing in on what has become expected by travelers in the down economy, Ocean City hotels, restaurants and attractions are offering deals and specials to attract more business.

(Dec. 12, 2008) The Noel Community is preparing for its 11th annual dinner on Christmas Day, when volunteers will serve a free turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea on Third Street in Ocean City.

Spending was up across the country on Black Friday, Nov. 28, despite dire predictions and a poor economy, and Ocean City businesses saw their fair share of the shopping dollars.
